Why Le Wagon?
Our founders felt that technical higher education was broken, that there was a "missing train". This was the first time they thought of a wagon for our name. They liked it because a wagon is a vehicle that takes a group of people on a journey to a destination, like a class of students.

Now
We aren’t your typical startup.
Launching in 2013, we successfully bootstrapped for 7 years before we decided to raise funds to expand our programs and campuses. We have scaled steadily, and we constantly iterate on our products, curriculum and services to guarantee the best experience for our students and partners.
We are deeply connected with the local tech ecosystems in all of our locations, through hiring partners and relationships with tech communities, universities, VCs, and startup incubators.
We celebrate the successes of our alumni like they are our own. We kick off every all-company meeting with recent alumni success stories to keep us motivated and focused on why we do what we do.
We have 45 campuses in 23 countries around the world.
Fancy a change of scenery? Wagoners will often visit and work from other campuses when they’re travelling 🛬

How we work
We use modern tools to connect and collaborate across different countries and timezones.
- We communicate together exclusively through Slack — never again return from holiday to 100s of emails.
- We use Google Workspace for spreadsheets, building presentation decks and hosting team and company meetings.
- We use Notion for almost everything else — it’s our wiki, our project management tool, our staff directory and more.
A few other things about how we work:
- No pointless meetings. We respect everyone’s time and regularly challenge whether a meeting is necessary to move forwards.
- Off means off. Set your status 🌴 and enjoy your break — having time off is important and you won’t be contacted when you’re offline.
Our values
-
Leverage community
Our Community is our Compass. We are on the same joyful journey, together. Helping each other out is everyone’s job. We believe this is the way we grow and have fun together.
-
Stay humble and curious
We are hungry to learn, from each other, from circumstances we encounter, from the mistakes we make and the success we achieve. We are driven by the quest for constant improvement and challenge ourselves to achieve excellence.
-
Build it when it’s worth it
We know that building a solid product starts with an MVP. We are not afraid to test new things when initial research validates the idea, then spot mistakes, debug and redeploy again and again, to finally find the right fit. We value pragmatism over perfection.
-
Think data first
We back our decisions with data, and confront our intuitions with enough research to decide if it is worth investigating further. We believe we are all responsible for taking a step back to review, analyze and course correct our actions to ensure we are on track to achieve our goals.
-
Embrace flexibility
We understand that the road is not yet fully mapped out, and we enjoy charting our course. We embrace challenges as an opportunity to learn, grow and innovate.
